Exploration on the Female Images in Widowers' Houses
Abstract：Widowers' Houses is George Bernard Shaw's first play. The two female images in the play ： Blanche and the Parlormaid reflected his early feministic idea. The middle-class woman Blanche's antagonism against patriarchy reveal the the middle-class women＇s demand on the equal right between men. The image of her Parlomaid explored the passive status of the lower-class women and the necessity of their feministic awareness.
