Abstract:Objective To investigate the risk factor and local immunity of bacterial vaginosis(BV)and vulvovaginal candidiasis(VVC)in Uyghur nonpregnant women. Methods 210 Uyghur nonpregnant female patients were enrolled randomly.Vaginal secretions were taken for leucorrhea routine examination, aerobia and eumycete culture were used to detect BV and VVC.Vaginal lavage fluid was collected and centrifuged, supernatant was used for enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Cells were used for detection of mRNA level of IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-4and IL-10 using reverse transcription-PCR(RT-PCR).Risk factors were determined using questionnaires together with logistic regression analysis. Results Risk factors of BV included age, residence, education level and vaginal washing;whereas VVC whose risk factors included education level, vocation and vaginal washing. The IFN-γwas shown to be decreased whereas IL-10 was presented to be increased in patients with BV and VVC relative to health control. Conclusion Patients with BVand VVC were analyzed to be associated with dysbacteriosis in vagina where the number of Lactobacillus was displayed to be decreased whereas Gardnerella vaginalis whose number was shown to be increased in patients with BV.It was also found that age, residence, education level and vaginal washing were analyzed to be high risk factors of patients with BV.Nevertheless, the principle pathogens contributing to the patients with VVC were Canidia Albicans. In addition, education level, vocation, vaginal washing were considered to be risk factors. Moreover, Th2 immune response was found to be predominant in Uygur women patients both with BV and CCV.
