Syndrome Type Distribution and Influencing Factors of Miao and Han Female Osteoporosis Patients During Postmenopausal Period in Qiannan Region

Abstract:Objective To explore syndrome type distribution and influencing factors of Miao and Han female osteoporosis patients during postmenopausal period in Qiannan region. Methods A total 381 female osteoporosis patients during postmenopausal period were collected as research object and divided into Miao group( 189 patients) and Han group( 192 patients), questionnaire survey was carried out respectively; syndrome investigation was analyzed using traditional Chinese medicine classification, and multivariate stepwise Logistic regression analysis was done to select significant influencing factors of osteoporosis in women of two nationalities during postmenopausal period. Results Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency and blood stasis syndrome in Miao group had statistical significance compared with Han group( P <0. 01). Yin deficiency in Miao group and Han group had statistical significance compared with Qi deficiency, blood deficiency, Yang deficiency and blood stasis compared with that in the same group( P < 0. 01). In Miao group, 13 cases had single types of syndrome, accounting for 6. 88%, and 176 cases had composite type, accounting for 93. 12%, including 45 cases( 23. 81%) of double type of syndrome, 74cases( 39. 15%) of three combination types of syndrome and 37 cases( 19. 57%) of four combination types of syndrome; in Han group, 33 cases had single type of syndrome, accounting for 17. 19%, and 159 cases had composite type, accounting for 82. 81%, including 89 cases( 46. 35%) of double type of syndrome, 37 cases( 19. 27%) of three combination types of syndrome and 16 cases( 8. 33%) of four combination types of syndrome, the difference had statistical significance( P < 0. 01). Multi- factor Logistic regression analysis showed that Yin deficiency syndrome( OR = 3. 987), Qi deficiency syndrome( OR = 3. 517) and blood stasis syndrome( OR = 3. 215) were the main influencing factors of osteoporosis during postmenopausal period in Miao females; Yin deficiency syndrome( OR = 3. 841) and Yang deficiency syndrome( OR = 3. 224) were the main influencing factors of osteoporosis during postmenopausal period in Han females. Conclusion The syndrome type distribution and influencing factors in Miao and Han female osteoporosis patients during postmenopausal period in Qiannan region had certain differences.
