Abstract:Soong Ching-ling played an essential role in feminist movement during Chinese National Revolution, in which she was an advocator, promoting women's suffrage and coordinating movements of women from both communist and democratic parties. After Sun Yat- sen's death, Soong stood into the politics on her own, taking advantage of her social skills and status to contribute to women's movement. Only with great women like her, Chinese women's movement can break through the male- dominated state. Soong Ching-ling acted as a female leader to advocate "gender equality"and women's suffrage and channeled women's movements into part of the revolutionary, nationalistic and cosmopolitan trend instead of some isolated movements for women's right.
