The Unreliable Narration and Narrative Ethics in Shi Shuqing's Family Novels

Abstract：Unreliable narration applies to all of Shi Shuqing's family novels. This unreliability — which is reflected by various expression forms — can be transformed into reliability so that diversity and complexity, features of unreliable narration, help writers to form special narrative effect and construct narrative ethics of novels. Unreliable narration creates the possibility for readers' ethical judgment and aesthetic judgment by the novels' diversity and openness.
