Abstract:With an analysis of the CGSS2010 data and the application of the theory of social capital, the paper discusses the influence of the forms of political capital on the urban settlement of women migrant workers. It reveals that a strong political relationship concerning political capital has some categorical influence on their urban settlement. The forms of political capital with an ascribed strong relationship have little impact on their urban settlement but the forms of political capital with an acquired strong relationship have obvious impacts. As for political capital with a weak relationship, either the forms of political capital with an ascribed strong relationship or the forms of political capital with an acquired strong relationship have obvious positive functions. Such positive influence finds expression in small towns, county level and prefectural cities rather than the metropolis.
